Dieng Culture Festival (DCF) adalah festival tahunan yang merayakan keindahan alam dan budaya dataran tinggi Dieng. Puncak acara berupa ruwutan pemotongan rambut anak gimbal. Festival ini tidak hanya menampilkan pemotongan rambut gimbal, tetapi juga berbagai kegiatan menarik seperti Jazz Atas Awan, Festival Film Dieng, dan Festival Lampion.

Dalam ritual pemotongan, rambut anak gimbal dipercaya sebagai titipan penguasa alam ghaib dan diiringi dengan serangkaian doa di tempat bersejarah untuk memohon keselamatan dengan menggabungkan atraksi budaya dan alam.

Festival Lompat Batu atau Ya’ahowu Festival, di Nias, Sumatera Utara adalah salah satu festival budaya menarik di Indonesia yang menampilkan tradisi melompati batu setinggi lebih dari 2,1 meter dan setebal 40 cm. Tradisi ini berasal dari sejarah suku Nias yang membangun benteng pertahanan untuk melindungi diri dari serangan musuh dan mereka menciptakan cara untuk melompati batu (dikenal dengan fahombo) sebagai strategi menghadapi lawan. Saat ini, ritual ini juga melambangkan transisi pemula menuju kedewasaan.

5. Karapan Sapi, Madura

Lokasi: Pulau Madura, Jawa Timur

Karapan Sapi adalah lomba pacuan sapi yang terkenal dari Pulau Madura, dimana sepasang sapi menarik kereta. Puncak dari pertandingan karapan sapi diadakan pada akhir bulan September si bekar karesidenan Pamekasan,dimana para peserta berlomba memperebutkan Piala Bergilir Presiden.

6. Festival Danau Toba di Sumatera Utara

Festival Danau Toba adalah gabungan dari acara olahraga dan kebudayaan yang diadakan di area Danau Toba. Festival ini sudah ada sejak tahun 1980-an lho!

Festival Danau Toba sebagai ungkapan syukur masyarakat terhadap Danau Toba, yang menjadi sumber rezeki dan kemakmuran. Acara ini menampilkan pertunjukan seni dan tarian Batak, serta pameran kain tradisional khas Sumatera Utara, mencerminkan kekayaan budaya dan tradisi daerah tersebut.

7. Festival Ogoh-Ogoh di Bali

Jadwal: Maret

Lokasi: Bali

Ogoh-Ogoh adalah karakter yang sering kali terlihat menakutkan, menggambarkan roh jahat bhutakala, dan biasanya memiliki ukuran lebih dari 2 meter. Festival ini menarik perhatian masyarakat, Ogoh-Ogoh dibawa melewati jalan-jalan utama sebelum dibakar sebagai simbol kemenangan Dharma (kebaikan) atas Adharma. Festival ini bertujuan untuk melestarikan tari Gendrung khas Banyuwangi yang menampilkan pertunjukan melibatkan lebih dari 1.000 penari. Tari Gandrung sendiri adalah tarian tradisional yang melambangkan penghormatan kepada Dewi Sri, yang diyakini dapat memberikan kesuburan dan keberhasilan bagi para petani dalam panen hasil pertanian.

9. Festival Lembah Baliem di Raja Ampat

Jadwal: Agustus

Lokasi: Kabupaten Jayawijaya, Papua

Nama Festival 7 Sungai ini diambil dari tujuh sungai yang mengalir di Subang, yaitu Sungai Cikembang, Sungai Citeureup, Sungai Cilandesan, Sungai Cinyaro, Sungai Cileat, Sungai Cikaruncang, dan Sungai Cipunagara, dengan Desa Cibuluh sebagai lokasi utama. Mengusung tema “Sungaiku Sungaimu,” festival ini bertujuan untuk melestarikan sungai sekaligus menjadi sarana relaksasi bagi wisatawan dan masyarakat setempat.

12. ARTJOG

Jadwal: Juni – September

Lokasi: Jogja National Museum

ARTJOG adalah pameran dan festival seni kontemporer yang telah digelar sejak tahun 2008. Festival ini diadakan setiap tahun sebagai bagian dari Festival Kesenian Yogyakarta. Tidak hanya pameran seni rupa namun ada juga pertunjukan musik, workshop edukasi, dan instalasi interaktif dengan gaya masa kini, tidak heran kalau acara ini selalu ramai di kalangan masyarakat muda.

Acara ini merupakan ajang bagi ratusan peserta untuk berkompetisi dan memamerkan kostum yang mereka buat, dengan temabusana yang beragam setiap tahunnya. 14. Tomohon International Flower Festival

Bunga menjadi simbol utama dan aset terpenting bagi Kota Tomohon, yang terletak sekitar 26 km dari Manado. Sejak 2006, Tomohon menggelar pawai bunga untuk merayakan hari jadi kota, dan dua tahun kemudian, diadakanlah Tomohon International Flower Festival (TIFF) untuk pertama kalinya. TIFF bukan hanya parade seni lokal yang dikelilingi bunga, tetapi juga menjadi atraksi wisata budaya dan agribisnis yang meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani dan perajin rangkai bunga. Dikelilingi oleh dua gunung berapi, Lokon dan Mahawu, Tomohon memiliki lebih dari 20 varietas bunga seruni, lili, mawar, dan anggrek kelapa yang menjadikannya kota yang semarak.

15. Festival Rambu Solok, Tana Toraja

Jadwal: Juni – Juli

Lokasi: Tongkonan Talingan Batu, Kelurahan Pasele, Kecamatan Rantepao

Walaupun Rambu Solok merupakan upacara kematian, prosesi ritual ini sangat megah dan dipenuhi berbagai atraksi menarik. Atraksi seperti perlombaan kerbau dan penampilan musik tradisional berhasil menarik minat wisatawan lokal maupun mancanegara. Diselenggarakan selama beberapa hari di bulan Desember, Rambu Solok menjadi momen yang dinanti-nanti oleh masyarakat Tana Toraja. Upacara ini ditutup dengan prosesi pemakaman jenazah setelah seluruh rangkaian ritual selesai.
